We love our home and want to share it with you!
We welcome small, large, and diverse groups to The Lodge.
Our venue is perfect for a girls or guys weekend, a family get-together, a birthday party, or a place to stay while attending a festival or football game.
The Lodge at Butte La Rose is a venue in the tradition of the South Louisiana “camp”. Conveniently located 5 miles south of I-10 and nestled in the community of Butte La Rose, the only community in the Atchafalaya Basin. The Lodge is your home base to launch your exploration of the Atchafalaya and the Acadiana region.
The Atchafalaya Basin may be one of the last refuges for such endangered species as the Peregrine Falcon, the Florida Panther, Bachman’s Warbler and the Ivory Bill Woodpecker. About 100 species of fish, crawfish, shrimp and crabs support sport and commercial fishing, and feed birds, reptiles and mammals.
Acadiana is the home of the Cajun people, the descendents of the Acadians, who settled along the bayous and prairies of southwest Louisiana after their expulsion from Acadie (Nova Scotia) in 1755. It is a place of the incredibly rich musical, cultural and culinary traditions of the Cajuns and Creoles, and is a place like no other. Warm and wonderfully hospitable people, great food, dancehalls ringing with rollicking music and trembling with the combined foot-stomping of hundreds of dancers, and the quiet, singular beauty of the bayous and swamps of the Atchafalaya Basin ...
